We spent the weekend in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Vince was invited to wrestle Friday for an Ohio Dual team called the Barbarians. It was a rough start to the weekend, but the Barbarians ended up taking First Place!!!
Saturday we had lots of Team Greco wrestlers competing in the Individual Bracketed Tournament and the combination of all the points earned for Team Greco put us taking 2nd place out of 244 teams!!! Isn't that just outstanding!! Our wrestlers rocked it on Saturda
The summer is flying by and we are keeping busy!! We have spent so much time on the road traveling to visit with family and friends and to also attend several wrestling camps as well. This picture is of Greco and Jaclyn enjoying some pool time with their Uncle Dickie. Seems like ages since I have had a chance to sit and blog about Greco. He continues to defy the odds and we are so thankful each day for the Blessings in our lives! Being able to visit with family and good
After a very long wait to hear from the oncologist, we have news that the tumor is STABLE. This is really good news. Since Greco's tumor is an irregular shape, measuring it isn't very easy to do. We asked the oncologist what she thought of Greco's latest MRI, are we out of the woods?????
Her answer was that we are not out of the woods. She encouraged us to keep praying and keep living. A chance of a reoccurrence is likely. We stand firm that Greco is healed. We thank
Greco stands waiting to go in for his MRI. Waiting is what we have done a lot of for a very, very long time. Patience is a virtue.....
As I write this blog, my little fellow is in the MRI machine. I sit here in the waiting room...... Waiting, watching, praying. Today will be a good day, today I am expecting wonderful news. Greco is such a brave little boy. He no longer needs to be carried in for his scans, he walks right in and even crawls up onto the table himself. H
Yes, that is Greco marching through the venue in Virginia Beach at the NHSCA Duals!! Today he wore his singlet, wrestling shoes and his headgear. You can see Jaclyn and her BFF leading the way!! Great weekend with lots of great friends, and many new friendships formed. We finished the tournament with lots of matches! We did not place this year, but our wrestlers wrestled tough and gave it their all. Thanks Team Greco for Battling at the Beach!!! #teamgreco #pediatriccanc
Greco joins our Middle school team as they listen to Coach Sal Basile and Coach Dan Krug give them words of wisdom. These kids are an amazing group of young men wrestling hard and supporting each other this weekend. They have had some tough opponents but they are hanging tough too. Greco loves to be a part of his team!! Greco knows Challenges are Certain, and Defeat is Optional!! Go Team Greco!! #livegreco #diffuseintrinsicpontineglioma #takedowncancer #radiation #grecoroma
It has been another long day on the mats! Our Elementary team starts warming up at 6:15 AM!! Wrestling starts at 7!! These early mornings make for long and tiring days.
