End of Soccer Season
Jaclyn and Greco played the final game in the soccer season at Idlewild Baptist Church. While they both enjoyed receiving their trophies for participation, they were both honored with another award at practice last night!! Each year, the coaches carefully select one player on the team that demonstrates good sportsmanship as well as Christ-like qualities. Receiving this award is truly a great honor and must be a very difficult decision for the coaches. Both Jaclyn and Grec

Happy Birthday Greco!
Today we celebrate a milestone for our little guy!! He turns 5 years old today!! We are so thankful for all the birthday wishes and gifts from dear friends!! You have all made the day so special!! Each and every day is a gift, of course. But to know Greco has made it to 5 is such a blessing. We were told he would not see 4. God is good!! #diffuseintrinsicpontineglioma #takedowncancer #radiation #grecoromanbouzakis #pediatriccancer #livegreco #teamgreco

Always In Your Corner
In an Oak Park and River Forest High School classroom on the western edge of Chicago, a room full of seniors, including current Gopher freshman Larry Early III, needed ideas. Their latest assignment challenged them to find a cause, market a fundraiser, and raise money. Early immediately recalled a photo he stumbled upon the day before on social media and had his idea."It's coincidence. I saw this little boy on social media. He's was a little boy but he was also a wrestler, so

Team Greco
I love this picture of the team we took to NY this weekend. After every dual Troy sat the boys down to talk strategy . You can see he has all of their attention. Greco is in the middle of this group of fine young boys. It is so wonderful to be surrounded by a group of children that are all so hardworking and dedicated to doing something good. Go Team Greco!!!! #teamgreco #livegreco #pediatriccancer #grecoromanbouzakis #radiation #takedowncancer #diffuseintrinsicpontinegli

Our Hero
We finally got a chance to meet our buddy Larry Early this weekend!!!! We found out several weeks ago that he would be traveling to the Journeyman Event with his team. We actually got to watch him and his team workout and got to meet his legendary coach, Coach Robinson. Larry brought our family some totally awesome Minnesota Wrestling shirts and a hat. We brought him some Greco gear. Look for Larry at his next Open event, you might see him sporting a Live Greco singlet!!!

Journeyman Duals, Troy, NY
Troy put together a team of wrestlers to compete at the Journeyman Duals this weekend. It was a lot of fun, with lots of amazing competition. Our team took 3rd. We had some really fantastic talent on our team. Here is a picture of Troy motivating the boys before our first dual. Look carefully and you will see a few "proud Dad's" in the background. Go Team Greco!! #teamgreco #livegreco #pediatriccancer #grecoromanbouzakis #radiation #takedowncancer #diffuseintrinsicpontin

Cornell Surprise
Travelled to NY this week for the Journeyman Duals. Troy decided to stop by Cornell to show the kids their wrestling facility. We walked in to take a look around and were delighted to see Kyle Dake hanging out there. Greco and I had met him before, but the boys had not. He was so nice to chat with us for a while and even rolled around on the mat with Jaclyn after she took him down!!! Kyle is really a nice guy. #diffuseintrinsicpontineglioma #takedowncancer #radiation #grec

Virginia Beach Challenge
We spent the weekend in Virginia Beach at the Virginia Beach Challenge. It was a weekend filled with wrestling. Nic, Vince and Jaclyn participated in the Individual Bracketed Tournament on Saturday and the boys were on the Hammerhead Dual team on Sunday. Going to so many wrestling events has given us plenty of opportunities to make new friends from lots of places. Here is a picture of Greco hanging out with his pals. It isn't unusual for him to pile up with the whole tea

Tricks and Treats!
This is only the second time Greco has had the opportunity to go out for trick or treating. Either it was raining, we were on the road or Greco just refused to dress up. This year he wanted to be a little cowboy, an adorable cowboy too!! Jaclyn was a cowgirl, so they were a matched set!! The big boys also enjoyed the festive night, dressing in army gear as if they had been in battle. We decided to celebrate over in Grandma's neighborhood do we would have more houses to vis

No Training Wheels...
Greco is finally riding his bicycle without training wheels!!! We have had all of the kids riding bikes without training wheels before they turned 5. So Greco is no different. He decided a few weeks ago that he was ready and Troy took the training wheels off. It took some practice, but Greco is really going it now!!! He has taken a few tumbles and skinned his knees and hands, but he gets back up and keeps on biking!! Just so thankful for all the blessings in our lives!!
