Thank you for checking in on Greco. I hope you enjoy reading about our journey. Hopefully there might have been something in our story that encourages you in some small way. I wanted to let you know that I have decided to spend my time with my family and start journaling on paper, the old fashioned way, for a while. So for a time, I am stepping away from the blog. It is mainly for our privacy right now. We will be very busy enjoying our family time together. We apprecia
"Just Be Held" Casting Crowns Hold it all together
Everybody needs you strong
But life hits you out of nowhere
And barely leaves you holding on
And when you're tired of fighting
Chained by your control
There's freedom in surrender
Lay it down and let it go
So when you're on your knees and answers seem so far away
You're not alone, stop holding on and just be held
Your world's not falling apart, it's falling into place
I'm on the throne, stop holding on and just b

Greco had an MRI last week and initial reports are that he is relapsing and the tumor is growing. Doctors have put him on meds to reduce the swelling and they have helped tremendously. They are temporary until we can make a plan for treatment. So at this time we have no answers, just lots of questions. Once the Tumor Board meets this week we will know more. In the meantime, please forgive us if we don't answer the phone, or emails, or texts. Just keep praying. Believe B
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you today to seek what is above. I need you. Things seem to be falling apart, but I know you are in control. I know your timing is perfect and you have this journey all planned out for us. Greco is having his MRI at this very moment as I sit here in this waiting room feverishly typing out my prayer to you. I don't think I have ever written down my prayers. Dear Lord, Greco is yours. You have blessed us with over 5 years with this child,
We are making memories. This weekend we went sport fishing with the DeGennaro family. They are part of our wrestling family. Greco is great friends with their youngest son and Vince wrestles the older son. We had a wonderful time. As you know Greco loves to fish. He didn't get to reel one in this time though. Nic was fortunate to land a nice Mahi Mahi and Vince and Troy both reeled in one big barracuda!! It was a great day on the water with friends, soaking in the sun
Today we discovered our very first egg. It was quite a surprise as we were not expecting eggs for another 3 weeks!! Greco and Jaclyn were so excited and we took many many pictures of this tiny pale green egg. We even displayed it in a beautiful teacup until Dad and the big boys got home from practice. We have found great joy in these chickens. We have taken great care of them and now they are showing their thanks!! The gift that keeps on giving. I am so glad my husband s
Greco has been begging his Dad for a new fishing pole. He has had a Spider-Man one as well as a Transformer one. You know those expensive kid rod and reels that last about 2 days and never, ever catch a fish.
Greco wanted yet another one. So, Troy took Greco to buy a "big boy" rod and reel today. And lo and behold this is what he caught on his first cast!!! A catfish, right out of the pond in our back yard!
He looks so proud of his catch!!! He wants to be a fisherman
